Seven playable characters, captured directly from the Rust renderer at 60 fps.

What it is

A role-playing game built in Rust, where its characters and world are drawn entirely with animated ASCII glyphs.

The character pipeline starts with visual references and generated 3D models. Models are remeshed and prepared in Blender, then their animations are sampled from several directions and converted into glyph frames.

A native Rust renderer assembles those frames into directional movement, idle poses and attacks. The next challenge is making light and other effects react naturally across the ASCII world.
